A word of explanation #
A year or so ago I was playing minecraft for lack of any more fulfilling activities presenting themselves to me, as one does, and I was in the process of making a chicken enclosure when one chicken escaped the herd or the seed-matrix or whatever and sprinted out on a path so heavily deviating from the other chickens that it actually ended up far enough away to survive being rounded up again due to practical limitations (and by that I mean that I didn't give a shit and was too impatient to get it). The story would've ended there as an unimportant footnote in a forgotten minecraft world, but some strange para-empathetic side of me felt a sense of humanity extending to this lone chicken (which I should clarify was still trapped within a larger compound). I dubbed it "Jeff", and me and Jeff were living our best minecraft lives for a solid few days as my minecraft binge played out (literally). At some point, "disaster" struck, and all the chickens I'd previously imprisoned and their innumerable progeny got out of the enclosure. Since I hadn't given Jeff a nametag, he was quickly absorbed into the swarm and I was forced to accept as I corralled them back in that my former buddy was likely going to end up as 1/64th of a stack of cooked chicken sometime in the future, and there would be nothing I could do about it. That pseudo-moralist side of me was troubled but the mature and unfeeling side had wrangled control back a little and I went on with my day until I realized that once again, a singular chicken had somehow dodged the kfc draft and was roaming my homeless encampment freely. This time the side of me that believes in fate (I have many sides) wrested reason from the controls and I ran to get a nametag, officially giving the chicken the dubious title of "This might be Jeff".
That all transpired around a year ago, and today I launched minecraft for the first time in a while and opened up singleplayer to see what worlds I had. I was amazed to discover that world as one of only two in the folder for some reason, I was sure that there would have been a multitude of them but I guess not. Or maybe prism doesn't actually share worlds between installations as I thought it did (that's probably it now that I think about it, I'm pretty unknowledgeable about using launchers). That's where the minecraft screenshot comes from.
Now comes the part of this explanation where I explain that there actually is no explanation; that's right, the explanation is a lie. Or rather, everything I've said is true except for the part about it being an explanation. I have no way to explain this page, other than giving this weird context about a chicken named "this might be jeff". Everything else you see here was assembled from tangentially related whims. Anyway bye
